On the North end of the Daytona Beach Board Walk, and the South End of Ocean Walk Resort, site Ocean Walk Shoppes.

The Oean Walk Shoppes sit directly in front of the Daytona Beach Bandshell and is accessible from Atlantic Av, the beach or 4th floor of Ocean Walk Resort.

What is here? Restaurants – Shopping – Theater all within walking distance.

Of course Ocean Walk is a Wyndham property. I receommend that you attent the timeshare presentation — but buy ALL WYNDHAM TIMESHARES from E-Bay !!

A little lizard terrazo tile walkway — I just do not see these things in Chicago Illinois

For your late night dining pleasure — NAPOLI PIZZA. This place stays open till 4Am and they deliver — standard sandwiches and pizza here. I can honestly tell you that I do not mean to be a pizza snob, but I live in a Chicago Suburb — I have –Home Run Inn – Geno’s East – Lou Malnatti’s – and Giordanos all within a 10 minute drive of my house…I only go for pizza when it has been a really late night — and I need a bit of sobering up. My sister from Omaha swears that the manicotti at Napoli is awesome….

this is a 10 screen theater – always gets the new releases and is the perfect place to visit if it looks like the weather will not permit a beach day and you have a few hours to be entertained.

You can buy your tickets on line and you can get your parking validated for a 3 hour show — do not forget to ask about that !!

I have very fond memories of these old-type photo booths that used to be in all K-Marts and Zayre’s everywhere. I think that I have pictures from these going back to when I was 12 and of course — I never miss a chance to get another strip of photos — I am just much bigger and we can no longer fit 6 in a booth…..

A quickie?? How bout a hot dog on the Board Walk? I oersonally like the “Chicago Dog…”

Of course there are several cool shopping spots — like Maui Nix. They carry better name tropical clothing and T-shirts – Like Tommy Bahama and also surf equipment — sun glasses and basic necessities for the beach.

Ice Cream??? Pricey — but this is the good stuff…. You know the type — so lucious and creamy that given a choice between ice cream and sex – you pick the choice that your husband did not think you would?? Hey — I didn’t really want to hurt his feelings — but this is really good ice cream, so I donlt even feel guilty.

Of course you will also find the “sunglass hut”. Sunglasses for that well organized person who appreciates a nice pair of shades and is able to keep track of them without loosing them. My husband has a pair of Revo’s from 1989. I am lucky to still be able to find the pair I bought last week !! That is why I LOVE the Daytona Beach Flea Market — but that is a blog post for a different day. I actaully have a record going — I have a pair of Icicles given to me by Fireman Steve — and my husband is monitoring their where-abouts. Being able to actually own and maintain the same sunglasses for 1 year is a record for me !!

Thank Goodness — A Starbucks — and this one is not on the “Closing List” !!

The only problem with this Daytona Beach Starbucks — is that it does not overlook the ocean… Excellent Expresso – cookies for the kids and awesome coffee cake for the moms….perfect spot for a quiet walk right after sunrise..
